Following on from the success of The Big Lunch, the Eden Project have joined forces with The Netherlands Flower Bulb Information Centre to launch a new event called The Big Bulb Plant. The aim is to encourage local communities to join forces and get bulb planting in their local area.

 

There are plenty of suggestions of how this can be done

“Plant bulbs in a public area that is in need of an uplift or get every family on the street to plant bulbs in a container and pop it on the doorstep. 
The planting of spring flowering bulbs will make a huge difference and transform the aesthetics of the community come spring time!
Why not recycle unwanted items such as old tyres, watering cans, shoes, pots and pans etc and use them as containers in which to plant spring bulbs”

 
 
 

Simply choose a day between 01 September and 30 November to get your hands dirty and plant some bulbs! If everyone brings 10 bulbs each your area will be transformed in spring.
