Suckers

Nuisance Plum tree Suckers appearing all over my plot

3 forum posts	Help! I have plum tree suckers from my neighbours plot appearing randomly all over my allotment plot, I've tried digging them up without success, I cut them down regularly, but up they pop again and again to my anoyance. All suggestions welcome. Dung Beatle (DB)

Moderator 19 forum posts 24 articles	Hi - if it's a problem you may need to dig a trench around your plot and put a root barrier in - e.g. using something such as paving slabs - will last and the roots can't get through. Otherwise I'm afraid you're just left with removing all the suckers as they appear!
