Sweet potatoes are sown from cuttings or slips rather than seed - this is worth a read and you can buy them from here

Let us know how you get on

Hi Lynda

Did you get any sweet potatoes? A bit late for this year but perhaps some use for next year.
Suttons Seeds are offering pot-grown little plants this year - which travel a bit easier through the post than the slips (cuttings which often arrive with hardly any roots).

We get a crop in a good year - not large but the yellow flesh makes them good for home-grown 'oven chips'
