| 10 forum posts | My 4 year old Gunnera survived the severe winter this year (I protected it) and was looking impressive this spring. Unfortunately I got caught out with the late frost earlier this week and now the leaves have gone brown and shrivelled up. The crown and stems still seem ok, so I was hoping it might grow back. Can anyone advise if I can still rescue it this late in spring and how best to encourage new growth? Thanks. |

| 10 forum posts | Thanks for your interest Lee. I have been watering the Gunnera regularly and am relieved to say it is coming back ok now. I was thinking I could put some manure around the base of the crown to see if this will help speed up recovery. Hopefully it will keep on growing throughout the summer and give me a nice display again. |
